To be eligible for a PFund scholarship you must be:
• GLBT or from a GLBT family
• A legal resident of the state of Minnesota or attending a qualified Minnesota academic institution
• Enrolled in a GED or post-secondary program for the following fall academic term
• Not a former PFund scholarship winner

Application Deadline:
Scholarship applications are due each year on February 1st. This is a postmark deadline.

Scholarship Amounts:
Generally range from $2,000 to $5,000

Funds Available:
$50,000 for the 2008-2009 scholarship awards cycle

Judging Criteria:
• Applicant’s affirmation of GLBT identity (either their own or within their family context) or commitment to GLBT communities.
• Evidence of experience and skills in service and leadership.
• Evidence of service and leadership in GLBT communities, including serving as a role model, mentor and/or advisor.*

Decisions are finalized each year by May 1st.

*Please note that no applicant will be eliminated from consideration for lack of opportunities to participate in GLBT activities. We understand that some students come from areas where there is little or no GLBT community; this will be taken into account.
